Han Hyo Joo lahir di Cheongju, Seoul pada tanggal 22 Ferbruari 1987 sebagai anak pertama dari dua bersaudara, dia mempunyai seorang adik laki-laki (sama kayak gw dong, adik cuma satu tapi kurang ajarnya minta ampun... aaaarrrgh!). Ayah Hyo Joo bekerja di bidang kemiliteran, sementara ibunya merupakan guru sekolah dasar sebelum akhirnya dia diangkat menjadi inspektur untuk sekolah umum. Pada waktu kecil, Hyo Joo sangat senang dengan olah raga. Saat Hyo Joo duduk di kelas 2 SMU, dia melakukan hal yang mengejutkan dimana dirinya memutuskan untuk pindah ke Seoul. Meski sang ayah konservatif dan ketat (alias kolot) menentang keinginan putrinya itu. Namun apa daya pada akhirnya Hyo Joo bisa pergi sesuatu keinginannya (cup cup waw waw, sabar ya om). Setelah menyelesaikan sekolahnya, Hyo Joo lalu melanjutkan studinya ke Dongguk University dengan mengambil jurusan teater.

Hyo Joo mengawali karirnya di tahun 2003, saat dirinya memenangkan kontes kecantikkan yang diadakan oleh Binggrae Smile Awards (salah satu dari perusahaan makanan di Korea) dimana ajang tersebut menarik perhatian jagad dunia hiburan di sana. Pada tahun 2005, Hyo Joo memulai debutnya di panggung akting dengan bermain di drama Nonstop 5 dan sebuah film berjudul My Bos, My Teacher yang tanpa pemberitaan. Di tahun berikutnya, Hyo Joo mendapatkan peran utamanya pada drama Spring Waltz. Yup, salah satu dari seri drama bertema musim arahan sutradara Yun Seok Ho (Autumn in My Heart, Winter Sonata dan Summer Scent). Sang sutradara mempercayakan karakter Park Eun Young kepadanya karena dia menilai Hyo Joo cocok memerankan tersebut. Menurut sang sutradara, Hyo Joo memiliki daya tarik kepolosan seorang anak dan juga sisi misterius setelah dirinya melihat foto Hyo Joo saat browsing internet. Meski demikian, Hyo Joo menyatakan bahwa dia mengalami kesulitan saat berakting di drama itu yang dikarenakan dirinya kurang berpengalaman (tapi seiring berjalannya waktu udah banyakkan, hehehe).

Masih di tahun yang sama, Hyo Joo juga bermain dalam film independen berjudul Ad-Lib Night yang diangkat dari novel karangan Azuko Taira. Di sini dia berperan sebagai Lee Bo Gyeong seorang gadis yang tadinya bernama Myeong Eun sebelum dirinya meninggalkan desa tempat dia tinggal. Berkat film ini Hyo Joo akhirnya berhasil meraih penghargaan pertamanya di dunia akting dari 26th Korean Screen Critics Awards untuk 'best new actress' dan 20th Singapore International Film Festival untuk 'best actress' (wah, film kayak gini mah susah nyari di lapak). Pengalaman kali ini bisa dibilang lebih baik daripada sebelumnya. Malah Hyo Joo berharap syutingnya yang selama satu bulan itu bisa berlangsung lebih lama. Tahun 2007, dirinya kembali mencoba berakting di serial drama setelah sebelumnya Hyo Joo mengalami tekanan akibat aktingnya yang dinilai buruk di Spring Waltz (dia hampir nyerah...). Dimana dia berperan sebagai Seok Ji Soo di drama bergenre keluarga berjudul By Land and Sky yang berjumlah 165 episode (aje gile! tapi masih mendinglah daripada nonton sinet) dan mengantar Hyo Joo meraih penghargaan dari KBS Drama Awards yang salah satunya adalah 'best couple' dengan Park Hae Jin.

Di tahun 2008 untuk pertama kalinya Hyo Joo bermain dalam drama saeguk Iljimae yang berkisah tentang seorang kehidupan pencuri bernama Iljimae (Lee Joon Ki) pada dinasti Joseon yang mempunyai masa lalu tragis dimana kedua orang tua beserta kakak perempuannya dibunuh di depan matanya sendiri. Hyo Joo berperan sebagai Byeo Eun Chae yang merupakan love interest dari Iljimae (udah beli, tapi blm nonton. malah ade gw udah rerun sampe 3x! alamak...). Di samping itu, Hyo Joo juga berakting lagi di film independen berjudul Ride Away dengan menjadi seorang gadis bernama Im Ha Jeong yang dikisahkan jatuh cinta dengan pegawai toko buku di sebelah kampusnya (beneran deh, pengen nonton niy film). Hyo Joo juga tampil sebagai cameo di film My Dear Enemy masih di tahun yang sama. Karir Hyo Joo mulai bersinar ketika dia membintangi drama keluarga berjudul Brilliant Legacy yang konon katanya sangat populer di Korea (mendapat rating pemirsa sebanyak 40% bow!) dan menyamai kepopuleran Boys Before Flowers. Hyo Joo mendapat karakter Go Eun Seung yang kehilangan ibunya saat dia masih berumur 11 tahun. Ayahnya kemudian menikah lagi dan dia pun mempunyai saudara tiri yang bernama Seung Mi (Moon Chae Won, salah satu artis idola saya, hohoho). Konflik cinta segi empat terjadi antara Eun Seung, Woo Hwan (Lee Seung Gi), Seung Mi dan Jun Sae (Bae So Bin).

Drama Brilliant Legacy sukses membawa Hyo Joo meraih banyak penghargaan seperti dari SBS Drama Awards dimana dirinya juga meraih 'best couple' bersama Lee Seung Gi dan dari 5th Seoul Drama Awards untuk Hallyu Special Award. Masih di tahun 2009 bersama dengan salah satu anggota dari boyband JYJ (ex TVXQ) yaitu Kim Jae Joong, Hyo Joo membintangi sebuah telecinema berjudul Postman to Heaven yang nantinya dirilis kembali ke layar lebar. Di film hasil kerja sama antara Korea-Jepang ini Hyo Joo berperan sebagai Jo Ha Na seorang gadis yang masih belum mengikhlaskan kepergian kekasihnya yang telah meninggal, sedangkan Jae Joong berperan menjadi tukang pos surga bernama Jae Joon yang kehadirannya bisa dilihat hanya oleh orang-orang yang belum bisa menerima kematian termasuk Ha Na. Tahun 2010, Hyo Joo tampil kembali membintangi drama saeguk berjudul Dong Yi. Walaupun sebenarnya dia sempat mendapat tawaran untuk bermain di drama Chuno (saeguk juga), namun batal karena tidak ada kesepakatan dan akhirnya digantikan oleh Lee Da Hee. Drama Dong Yi yang berdasarkan pada kisah nyata ini mempertemukannya lagi dengan aktor Bae So Bin yang sebelumnya main bareng di Brilliant Legacy dan juga mengantarkan meraih Daesang award dari MBC Drama Awards. Hyo Joo yang sangat mengidolakan aktor So Ji Sub ini akhirnya dipertemukan lewat film bergenre mellow Only You yang rencananya akan tayang tahun 2011. Bisa dibayangkan betapa bahagianya Hyo Joo bisa berakting bersama aktor favoritnya. Hyo Joo berperan menjadi seorang gadis buta bernama Jeong Hwa yang dikisahkan jatuh cinta dengan mantan petinju (So Ji Sub). Hmm, kita tunggu aja ya niy film. Patut ditonton, hohohoh.

About Yoon Shi Yoon

Yoon Shi Yoon merupakan salah satu aktor pendatang baru yang paling bersinar tahun 2010 ini.  Pria kelahiran di Incheon 26 September 1986 ini lahir dengan nama Yoon Dong Goo. Yoon Shi Yoon mengganti namanya menjadi Yoon Dong Goo karena pihak manajemen yang menyarankannya sebagai nama panggungnya. Dia tampil pertama kali di layar kaca lewat acara televisi di korea yaitu Introducing A Star’s Friend sebagai teman dari personel FT Island, Lee Hong Ki.

Yoon Shi Yoon mulai dikenal ketika bermain di serial MBC High Kick Through The Roof tahun 2009 sebagai Jung Joon Hyuk. Banyak yang menyukai aktingnya di serial ini. Di awal 2010 Yoon Shi Yoon menjadi ikon dari salah satu produsen baju - baju terkenal bersama leader C.N.Blue, Jung Yong Hwa. Selain itu dia juga menjadi salah satu produsen KTF (handphone) yang dinamakan Bubi-Bubi untuk menjadi modelnya bersama girlband T-ara. Belum lama ini Yoon Shi Yoon juga dipilih menjadi salah satu dari 7 Hot Guys  di 2010 bersama Kim Soo Hyun, Seul Ong (2AM), Dong Ho (U-Kiss), Thunder (MBLAQ), Moon Joon Young (ZE:A), dan Hiroshi Tamaki (Jepang). Popularitasnya semakin meningkat ketika dia membintangi serial KBS Baker King, Kim Tak Goo yang mendapatkan respon yang baik di korea. Rating serial ini berhasil menembus rating 40% ketika ditayangkan di sana sehingga serial ini mendapat sebutan sebagai “drama nasional” dan telah menjadi nominasi drama populer 2010.
